About the job
Are you convinced that your eagerness to learn can take you further in logistics? And are you interested in converting your talents into concrete steps in your career? We are looking for a junior forwarder. Join us!
Your role as Junior Forwarder
In this role you are part of an experienced team consisting of 11 colleagues. Initially, you will be involved in entering purchase and sales orders (order entry) of incoming shipments into our system. You will also start planning unloading addresses, taking into account the agreements we have made with our carriers. You can make these appointments both by e-mail and by telephone.
Through collaboration with your colleagues, you will learn how to be creative in providing transport solutions in the field of road transport, for both import and ultimately export. You will also learn about other transport options and know which colleagues to contact if you have any questions. You may also have contact with colleagues from our Sales, Customs, Finance, Sea, Air and Warehousing departments.
Since we have contact with non-Dutch speakers both internally and externally, we believe it is important that you have a good command of the English language. If you still have to discover the technical language of logistics, that is no problem. We’d love to teach you that!
Finally, it is important for this role that you also have an affinity with figures, because how exactly do we make a profit on these services and what does this mean? Your curiosity to discover this process will take you further in making concrete steps. Ultimately, we would like to see you grow into a fully-fledged Freight Forwarder with the associated employment conditions.
- Your attitude and ambition;
- Completed MBO level 4 training;
- You enjoy working in a team, but can also tackle tasks independently;
- You are preferably available for 40 hours;
- Good oral and written command of both the Dutch and English languages;
- That you can submit a Declaration of Good Conduct (if accepted, the application will be initiated by us)
With all these points, your ambition and attitude are the most important thing for us! Have you just finished school and only have 1 to 2 years of work experience? Of course we invite you to respond!
We have high expectations of you, and in return you can count on attractive benefits.
- An inspiring and informal working environment with approximately 150 enthusiastic colleagues who are ready to help you.
- Space for personal development and applying your own ideas and initiative.
- Confidence to make and implement plans together with the team.
- A pleasant working environment at our head office in Tilburg.
- A competitive salary between € 2,400 and € 2,700 based on 40 hours.
- At least 24 vacation days and 3.5 ATV days (pro rata).
- A laptop and eventually the option to work from home, of course with a work-from-home allowance.
- A solid pension scheme.
We strive to offer you a total package that suits both your professional growth and your personal well-being!
