Your role as Freight forwarder – ISO TANK CONTAINERS
As a Freight Forwarder, you will be part of a team of 14 colleagues, You will be responsible for the entire process from A to Z in the handling of import shipments. This includes organizing transport to and from the port for specific customers via truck, barge and rail transport. In addition, you will be involved in processing customs documents, preparing transport documents, maintaining contacts with customers, carriers and shipping companies, and checking and processing depot lists with regard to the tank container positions. Invoicing services provided on time is a crucial part of your duties, where you strive for satisfaction in the treatment of customers and their shipments.
We use an open and transparent working method, in which we expect our employees to take responsibility for the entire process, from issuing rates to invoicing. In the team, you are willing to support your colleagues and you are also supported yourself. You have the ability to work independently and carry a high sense of responsibility with you. Communication is a strong asset of yours – quickly, clearly and without compromising on the quality of your work. You have a preference for quality over quantity; Half-hearted work doesn’t fit into your approach.
Requirements
What else do we expect from you?
- We are looking for someone who is ready to commit to our company for a longer period of time and make a valuable contribution to our team and goals;
- At least 7 to 8 years of demonstrable experience as a Freight Forwarder;
- You have at least an MBO diploma, preferably in a logistics direction, for example through the Shipping and Transport College.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing.
- You are driven to continuously improve processes.
- You are flexible, eager to learn, take initiative and work accurately.
- Knowledge and experience with IMDG legislation and hazardous substances is a plus, but don’t worry if you’re not fully versed in this yet; We support you in discovering and developing this knowledge.

Steps towards your new job at MOL Logistics

Once we receive your application, we will begin processing it. We aim to respond within two weeks. If we have become enthusiastic about your submitted application, we will invite you for an introductory interview. Of course, it is also possible that you will be rejected based on the assessment, in which case we will send you an email. Within the framework of the GDPR, we will then destroy the cover letter, CV and mail after completion of the application process.
The introductory interview normally takes place with the direct supervisor and an HR Specialist. During this orientation interview we try to get a good impression of you as a person and your capabilities and see if you could become the new colleague within MOL Logistics. We find it important to give a clear and honest picture of our organization and the vacancy so you can make a good choice.
If the introductory interview is positive for both parties, we will ask you for a follow-up interview.
