Chinese New Year 2023 – Year of the Rabbit

On the lunisolar and solar Chinese calendar, Chinese New Year marks the beginning of a new year and in 2023 it officially begins on 22nd January and runs through 5th February 2023.

Fun fact

Year of the Tiger comes to an end and Year of the Rabbit begins. It is predicted to be a Year of Hope as the rabbit is associated with peace and prosperity in the Asian culture.

How long is Chinese New Year?

The celebrations last up to 16 days but only the first 7 days are considered a public holiday, which means you can most likely expect main disruptions from 22^nd January to 29^th January 2023.
