Your role as Branch Manager NCE
As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the Iso Tank sea freight transport branch in Rotterdam. You will manage a team of freight forwarders, customer service and administration, a total of 13 people.
A day as a Branch Manager is very versatile and every day is different, yes a bit of a cliché, but it really is! You oversee the day-to-day operational activities within the department, making adjustments and improvements. For example, one day you may be busy with development conversations with employees, you make the planning, you are busy with commercial conversations with the customer or contact with international partners and suppliers. In addition, you will stay up to date with innovations in the logistics sector and implement solutions to improve processes.
You are responsible for the budget and develop and implement strategies to optimize the performance of the branch.
Requirements
- Specific ISO tank container knowledge & experience;
- Experience Sea freight (import & export);
- Knowledge of portbase & softpack;
- Financial knowledge (managing the local accounting team);
- IT knowledge and Operational Lean/continueous improvement methodology knowledge;
- HBO work and thinking level;
- Managerial experience in a similar position;
- You radiate energy, ambition and drive;
- You have commercial insight and an operational background;
- You are a team player who actively seeks cooperation between the different locations of MOL;
- Dutch and English proficiency.

Steps towards your new job at MOL Logistics

Once we receive your application, we will begin processing it. We aim to respond within two weeks. If we have become enthusiastic about your submitted application, we will invite you for an introductory interview. Of course, it is also possible that you will be rejected based on the assessment, in which case we will send you an email. The introductory interview normally takes place with the direct supervisor and an HR Specialist. During this orientation interview we try to get a good impression of you as a person and your capabilities and see if you could become the new colleague within MOL Logistics.
