Your role as Business Development Manager
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities within the MOL Logistics network and the logistics sector, with a strong focus on the modalities of sea freight, air freight and road transport. You will work closely with various departments to implement strategic plans and strengthen our market position. You will play a crucial role in driving growth and innovation within our company.
What will you do
- You keep a close eye on the market and analyze new trends and opportunities to support strategic decisions.
- Together with the management team, you will work on plans to increase our market share and strengthen our competitive position.
- You maintain strong relationships with customers and provide solutions that add value and meet their needs.
- You will coordinate strategies with departments such as marketing, sales and operations to ensure effective execution.
- You will draft sales proposals, help with presentations and support negotiations and closing deals.
- You will monitor the progress of strategic initiatives, report directly to management and proactively draw up improvement plans where necessary.
Requirements
- We are looking for a new colleague who is ready for a 3rd or 4th step in his or her career, with at least 7 years of demonstrable experience within a commercial logistics position;
- Professional knowledge and insight into the various logistics modalities;
- Completed HBO education in the field of marketing or commercial economics;
- Experience with CRM systems, market analysis and sales strategies;
- Commercial attitude, decisive and result-oriented;
- Signaling and problem-solving ability, good at negotiating;
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
- Representative demeanor;
- In possession of driving license B.

Steps towards your new job at MOL Logistics

Once we receive your application, we will begin processing it. We aim to respond within two weeks. If we have become enthusiastic about your submitted application, we will invite you for an introductory interview. Of course, it is also possible that you will be rejected based on the assessment, in which case we will send you an email. Within the framework of the GDPR, we will then destroy the cover letter, CV and mail after completion of the application process.
The introductory interview normally takes place with the direct supervisor and an HR Specialist. During this orientation interview we try to get a good impression of you as a person and your capabilities and see if you could become the new colleague within MOL Logistics. Of course you also get the opportunity to ask questions about the vacancy and our company, please do! We find it important to give a clear and honest picture of our organization and the vacancy so you can make a good choice.
If the introductory interview is positive for both parties, we will ask you for a follow-up interview. This interview will basically take place with a (future) direct colleague and another HR Specialist. We will go deeper into the content of the position and your capabilities and motivation. An assessment or other test by a third party may be part of the procedure. Depending on the position, another interview may take place.
