Export Operation Clerk
Your role as Export Operation Clerk
Due to a growth in our business, we are looking to expand our export operation team and are looking for an export operation clerk with multimodal work experience especially in sea, air & road freight export operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will need basic freight forwarding experience for exporting, ideally live local to West Drayton or within the Heathrow area, be enthusiastic, and willing to learn. What would be essential is that the candidate is a quick learner, proactive and be prepared to be fully trained in all aspects of logistics operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Export freight operations and Customs clearances
- Handling sea/air/road export shipments
- Speaking to customers on a daily basis
- Liaising with shipping lines, airlines, handling agents, transports, Customs & our overseas offices.
- Raising files, documents and invoices
- Arrange collections
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years hands-on operational freight forwarding experience
- Good working knowledge of logistics, shipping and transportation
- Export Customs entry experience (Sequoia)
- Basic IT skills
- Must be a punctual, quick learner and be willing to learn all areas of the operation
- Be able to demonstrate a good level of work efficiency and accuracy
- Someone who enjoys working in a team and can cooperate well with other team members
- Professional customer service skills
- Professional communicator (fluent English: reading, writing, speaking, polite telephone manner, emails)
- Commercial awareness, understanding of basic profit/loss

The introductory interview normally takes place with the direct supervisor and an HR Specialist. During this orientation interview we try to get a good impression of you as a person and your capabilities and see if you could become the new colleague within MOL Logistics. Of course you also get the opportunity to ask questions about the vacancy and our company, please do! We find it important to give a clear and honest picture of our organization and the vacancy so you can make a good choice.
If the introductory interview is positive for both parties, we will ask you for a follow-up interview. This interview will basically take place with a (future) direct colleague and another HR Specialist. We will go deeper into the content of the position and your capabilities and motivation. An assessment or other test by a third party may be part of the procedure. Depending on the position, another interview may take place.
When we are convinced of your qualities, we will make you an offer to join us. This offer will detail the terms of employment.
After signing the necessary documents, we will then welcome you to MOL Logistics !
We will make further arrangements for your first working day and also make an induction plan so that you will quickly find your niche within our organization.
