MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Shuhei Togo) kondigde aan dat haar regionale hoofdkantoor in Europa, MOL Logistics Holding (Europe) B.V., een vertegenwoordigingskantoor heeft geopend in Dubai, Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (V.A.E.).
MOL Logistics neemt een proactieve houding aan bij het uitbreiden van zijn activiteiten in opkomende regio's, in lijn met zijn bedrijfsplan voor de middellange termijn. Het bedrijf opende zijn vestiging in Nairobi in mei 2017 en een dochteronderneming in Sri Lanka in april 2018, en tekende een nieuw agentschapscontract in Oman in mei van hetzelfde jaar, en richt zich nu op zijn activiteiten in de V.A.E., dat een concurrentievoordeel heeft als logistiek knooppunt, evenals sterke banden met markten in Afrika.
Dubai is na Abu Dhabi de grootste economie van de V.A.E. en heeft 's werelds grootste kunstmatige haven en Dubai International Airport, dat dienst doet als internationaal knooppunt en fungeert als een commerciële en logistieke relaisstad voor landen in het Midden-Oosten en Afrika.
De taken van de representatieve desk, gevestigd in de Jebel Ali Free Zone, omvatten het verzamelen van informatie over zaken in het Midden-Oosten, het uitbreiden van het ophalen van vracht in/uit en via Golflanden en het verder verbeteren van de diensten voor Oost-Afrikaanse markten in samenwerking met de Nairobi Branch.
