Controller

Your role as Controller
As a Controller, you focus on the correct implementation and optimization of our financial policy and the related business processes, where you are able to make a direct translation into daily activities. You report to the CFO.
As part of our operational management, you will work on determining policy and strategy and you will also be able to propagate and translate these to the rest of the organization. You provide periodic closings and financial reports and analyzes for both internal and external use. Managing, monitoring and addressing those responsible for deviations in the monthly results suits you and you know how to maintain or advise the right (external) contacts. If desired, you draw up procedures with these parties. You transfer your financial analytical knowledge and skills to the managers of the various modalities and departments. This increases the level of financial knowledge and insight of the various employees and therefore of the broader organization. Naturally, in this position you will also be involved in assessing investment applications, reporting on cash flow developments and credit facilities and coordinating the further preparation of budgeting and credit control activities.
You are also partly responsible for enforcing and monitoring Compliance legislation and regulations. You are part of our Compliance Team. You also monitor compliance and optimization of the administrative organization and internal control (AO/IB).
Requirements
- Minimum completed HBO education in business economics, accountancy or similar;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Demonstrable relevant work experience in a similar position;
- Demonstrable experience with change processes;
- Demonstrable leadership skills;
- Strong numerical insight and analytical/problem-solving skills;
- Proactive attitude, results-oriented and accurate;
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written;
- Excellent command of MS Office, experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage;
- Work experience in the logistics industry is an advantage.

The introductory interview normally takes place with the direct supervisor and an HR Specialist. If the introductory interview is positive for both parties, we will ask you for a follow-up interview. An assessment or other test by a third party may be part of the procedure. Depending on the position, another interview may take place.
